Man found dead at Percy Quin marina

A McComb man whose body was found at Percy Quin State Park Monday morning apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Pike County Sheriff Mark Shepherd said a family member found the body of 44-year-old Arthur Lynn Casey Jr., 1031 Dunaway Road, McComb, near the marina at the park.

Gilmore takes oath of office for school board

McComb resident Lynn Gilmore took the oath of office on Tuesday to become the newest member of the McComb school board.

Superintendent Therese Palmertree administered the oath to Gilmore, who used a Bible held by her husband Warren Ellis Gilmore, during the ceremony.
