Chief outlines MPD’s long-term strategy

McComb Police Chief Earnest Perry said he has a five-year plan to increase his ranks, improve communications with the public, enhance community policing, embrace technology and proactively fight crime.
“One of the first things in my five-year plan was building in house,” Perry told the McComb Exchange Club on Thursday.

South McComb Baptist Church’s kindergarten held its annual Trike-a-Thon fundraiser Friday for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Kids, some dressed in costumes, rode bikes festooned with flowers, posterboards, balloons, Spider-Man masks and even a pizza box as they road around the church grounds and part of 24th Street.
