ENTERPRISE — In a Thursday night affair, the Bogue Chitto Bobcats improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 40-16 win over Lincoln County rival Enterprise.

Stud running back Jermaine Blackwell and the consistent passing of quarter back Brock Roberts paced the Bobcats.

Trojans 2-0 after topping Wingfield

JACKSON — Amite County moved to 2-0 with a 20-6 win over Wingfield Friday.

Darrion Robinson was everywhere for the Trojans. On offense, Robinson had 10 carries for 179 yards and three TDs. Defensively, he led the defense with four tackles, three pass breakups and an interception.

Rodeo queen

Kaytlyn McCarty’s passion for the rodeo circuit came early in life. The 16-year-old North Pike junior has ridden horses since she was a youngster.

“I really got into watching rodeos on television when I was little,” McCarty said. “My favorite was watching the girls’ barrel racing.”
