The manslaughter charge against Lisa Varnado is going to the Amite County grand jury in May.
Varnado, 43, is charged with manslaughter in the April 1 shooting death of Magnolia dentist Dr. Doug Morel, 49, during a domestic disturbance at the couple’s home on Bales Road in the Tangipahoa community of Amite County.
