Amite County supervisors set mobile home tax sale for Oct. 2

LIBERTY — Amite County supervisors have set the annual tax delinquent mobile home sale for 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at the courthouse.

On Wednesday, tax assessor Eunice Blake said her office is in the process of delivering delinquent tax notices to mobile home owners.

Amite board accepts bid for box culvert

LIBERTY — Amite County supervisors on Monday accepted a bid of $103,400 from Alan Coleman Construction of Hazlehurst to install a box culvert on Fenn Road.

Engineer David Cothren opened two bids on Monday, with the second from Dozier LLC of Natchez for $158,275. The engineering estimate for the emergency work project was $85,000.
