A bill before the Mississippi Senate would ban deer hunting with dogs in the Homochitto National Forest.
Sen. Bob Dearing, D-Natchez, introduced Senate Bill 24-08, which has passed the committee and should come before the full Senate this week. The deadline to vote is Thursday.
