Chancery Judge Debbra Halford has approved a plan by the town of Magnolia to annex an area northwest of town.
The annexed area stretches along Quinlivan Road north to Airport-Fernwood Road east of Interstate 55 and west of Country Club Lane. It adds 1,239 acres and 344 people.
No one objected to the annexation at the hearing Friday.
At a hearing Monday, Magnolia officials said they had revised their original plan, which included Country Club Lane, after receiving complaints from five residents there who did not want to be annexed.
Judge Halford declined to approve the annexation until the Magnolia town board officially approved the revised plan.
The board did so Monday evening, and board attorney Wayne Dowdy presented the revised plan Friday.
The annexation will take effect 10 days after the ruling if no appeal is filed.
