The board unanimously approved an extension of his contract in executive session in January and made their vote public at Thursday’s meeting.

Woman found dead on Pike bridge

Pike County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the killing of a woman whose body was found on a Bogue Chitto River bridge Tuesday night.

Officials said a passer-by discovered the body of DeAirrika Sharrice Conerly, 19, 2033 McComb-Holmesville Road, on Alford’s Bridge Road and reported it to authorities at 7:12 p.m.

City code court revisions approved
