Lincoln County Circuit Clerk Terry Lynn Watkins pleaded guilty Friday to a charge of late deposit of county funds and agreed to step down from the post she had been re-elected to just two months ago.
She entered the plea during a preliminary hearing before Special Judge William F. Coleman in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
