We are within a few days of peak leaf peeping season here in Downeast Maine.
It is a time when tons of hikers, bikers, drivers and photographers descend on Acadia National Park to experience the autumn changing of the colors of the leaves. It is sort of an Indian summer for the fading tourist season.
