Teenager killed in Marion County wreck

A McComb native died and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle traffic accident Monday in Marion County.

Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers responded around 12:30 p.m. to the accident on Highway 98 at Hunt Road west of Foxworth.

Girl shot in head with pellet gun; boy booked

Pike County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a teenager who allegedly shot a 14-year-old girl in the head with a pellet gun on Monday.

Deputies responded to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center around 7 p.m. after medical staff reported that the girl came into the hospital with a pellet lodged in her head.

A McComb woman died and her passenger sustained injuries Friday in a single-vehicle accident in which alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers responded at 9:31 p.m. to Highway 51 near the Guy Barkdull Road intersection just south of Dixie Springs.
