Man charged in Gloster shooting

A Gloster man faces charges in connection with a shooting that took place Friday at an intersection in the city.

Gloster police arrested 22-year-old James Harris, 485-B Liberty Road, on three counts of aggravated assault and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Pike intruder shot

A 22-year-old Pike County woman shot and wounded an intruder who allegedly broke into a trailer on her property Friday.

Sheriff’s deputies responded around 2 p.m. to the 1100 block of Pleasant Drive, east of Fernwood, and arrested the alleged intruder, Deandre Demon Williams, 32, of 1052 Pleasant Drive, on a charge of burglary.

Police filed charges on Wednesday against a suspect detained in connection with the fatal shooting of a Centreville teenager in broad daylight last week. The primary suspect and alleged triggerman, however, remains at large.

Oil worker killed in Lincoln County accident

A Michigan man died in a work-related accident on an oil rig in Lincoln County on Monday.

Coroner Clay McMorris identified the victim as 22-year-old Chase D. Curtice.
