McComb police are urging citizens to beware of a bold scheme in which thieves are impersonating hospice caretakers to gain entry into the homes of elderly residents and rob them.

On Friday officers responded to a report from a resident of Shelly Drive in McComb.

Inmate's autopsy returned

The inmate found dead in a Pike County jail cell on Saturday died of heart disease, according to autopsy findings released this morning.

Pike County Coroner Percy Pittman presented the Enterprise-Journal this morning medical documents on the death of John Wayne Gill.
