Salem gets back on track

The Salem Wildcats got back on track with a 15-8 win over Hinds AHS at Salem on Friday night.

Salem got on the scoreboard first on a 1-yard run by Stevie Quinn with 5:08 left in the first quarter. It was a 99-yard drive that took 14 plays. The PAT by Dale McDaniel was good.

Centreville keeps rolling

Centreville Academy rolled over Adams County Christian School on Friday with a 35-3 win.

ACCS was overpowered by Centreville’s stout defense, which allowed 107 total yards.

Centreville scored first when senior running back Randy Bell scored on a 30-yard run.

Amite County remains winless at 0-5 with 30-22 district loss to Wesson

The Amite County Trojans dropped to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in Region 6-2A play with a 30-22 loss Friday to Wesson.

Amite County led 20-14 early in the fourth but a pair of touchdowns helped Wesson rally for the win at home.

Despite the loss, Amite County coach Robert Raines said his team is improving each week.
