Lady Jaguars head to tourney as No. 2 seed

With Friday’s commanding 66-43 win over visiting Lawrence County in the regular season finale, the North Pike Lady Jaguars enter next week’s Region 7 4-A tournament as the No. 2 seed.

The tournament will be held at Columbia.

Klunk rounds into form during senior season

Parklane forward Kim Klunk was a bit hesitant when the basketball season started in November.

The current senior played on a senior-laden team as a junior in 2011, but quickly became the team’s lone returning offensive threat.

Lady Pioneers grab win on Senior Night

With the excitement of Monday’s Senior Night festivities, Parklane Academy’s girls handled Adams County Christian School 53-40.

Parklane seniors Kim Klunk and Mallory Ball combined for 36 of Parklane’s 53 points. Klunk led the Pioneers with 25 points, while Ball had a career-high 16 points.
