The small town of Summit was on lockdown Thursday afternoon after two police officers were shot. Summit officer Troy Floyd has been confirmed dead, while McComb officer Joey Roberts was wounded.
The suspected gunman has been killed, according to reports.

Fire consumes Park Drive Extension house

Firefighters from three departments fought a house fire on Park Drive Extension that destroyed a house and at least two vehicles on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters from Sunnyhill, McComb and Summit responded to the blaze in the 2000 block of Park Drive Extension, which was closed to traffic during the incident.
