Burn ban in effect through March 31

Pike County is under a burn ban through March 31, civil defense officials said Tuesday.
“There is to be no burning whatsoever — no brush piles, no leaves, nothing,” the agency said in a statement. “You are allowed to cook on your grill but dispose of ashes and charcoal responsibly.
