Southwest Health is welcoming Robert C. Weathersby, MSN-HCA, RN, as the new chief operating officer for the system.

Weathersby brings a wealth of experience and has worked in various healthcare roles during his more than 18 years in the field, including behavioral health, cardiology, intensive/critical care, neurology, community health and hospital operations.
His professional experience includes being a registered nurse in critical care, director of clinical outreach, director of operations, and chief operating officer.

Weathersby received his Associate Degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women and his Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Weathersby is a native of Jackson and currently resides in Clinton with his wife Robyn and two daughters, Kyla and Evyn. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, fishing, and learning to golf.
