Gloster art camp robbed

A number of musical instruments meant for an upcoming summer arts camp were stolen from a house in Amite County last month.
Executive Director of The Gloster Arts Project, Margaret Troupe, said the program desperately needs help to cover the 10 missing guitars and drum kit that was stolen.

Magnolia roads getting repaired, reopened

A closed bridge in Magnolia that had served as an access point to the county’s industrial park is paved and open.
Magnolia officials said the McKay Road bridge got a new layer of asphalt Thursday.
