Household Hazardous Waste Day for Pike County residents is 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Pike County Health Department on Presley Boulevard in McComb. Old computers and TVs, electronics, appliances, oil, batteries, tires, pesticides, poisons, aerosol cans, paint, paint thinner, kerosene and oven cleaners can be disposed at the event.

MHS bomb threat ‘resolved’ Tuesday

4 charged in Amite County homicide

Four people have been charged in the Sept. 17 shooting death of a man in Amite County, Sheriff Tim Wroten said.
Kevin Jackson and Davion Higgins are both charged with first-degree murder and Erica Stephens and Myeka Jackson are both charged with accessory after the fact in the shooting death of LaDevin Ross.

Two shot in White Acres

Police responded to the shooting in an alley near the intersection of Beech and Sedgewick Street at 7:38 p.m.
