A woman who owns land adjacent to Percy Quin State Park and her sister saw a black bear cross Irene Road headed east toward the park last week.
Mary Emma Lansing and her sister Myra Pepper of Clinton spotted the bear south of Highway 24.
“We both said, ‘What’s that crossing the road?’ ” Lansing said.
