City again eyes property sales

A request for a new lease on a piece of city property prompted another call to consider selling off some of the city’s real estate.
Mayor Quordiniah Lockley told city board members Tuesday that Harry Harvey Post 14 of the American Legion wants to end its lease of the property containing its meeting hall and nearby ballfields.

City board hears truck request

City Administrator David Myers asked McComb board members to consider buying a sewer cleaner next week.
The board would need to advertise for the approximately $400,000 truck next week to meet a new deadline for spending internet sales tax proceeds called modernization funds. The purchase would then be pursued via reverse auction.
