Cutting out: Longtime barber shop closing its doors in McComb

Glenn Gatlin and Pat Kelly never had an argument in their half a century as owners of Buccaneer Hair Design Center.
After 50 years of cutting hair together, Buccaneer Hair Design Center will close at the end of August.
Kelly served in the Air Force before deciding to become a barber.

4 from Bogue Chitto charged in Amite burglary case

Four Bogue Chitto residents have been charged in connection with a burglary on Tangipahoa Road in Amite County, and authorities said they may be tied to more break-ins.
Sheriff Tim Wroten said a home security camera captured footage of the suspects entering a residence on Aug. 4.

City coffers see revenue increase

McComb officials are forecasting higher revenues and no tax increase for the nearly $12 million budget for the next fiscal year.
City Administrator David Myers said the city should have about $340,000 more compared to the current budget thanks to an increase in sales taxes.
