Architect updates officials on city projects

Plans for rebuilding the McComb Railroad Depot museum and waiting room will be amended to satisfy both the city’s and Amtrak’s objectives, an architect told McComb officials Tuesday.
An arsonist damaged much of the depot May 30, 2021, and architect Steve Cox is designing plans for rebuilding of its interior.

Grant awarded for old city jail rehab

McComb officials have approved a lease agreement to allow the Pike School of Art-Mississippi to occupy the front half of the old city jail for 50 years at $1 per year, clearing the way for the organization to secure a grant that will pay for improvements.
City officials approved the lease agreement Thursday.
