LIBERTY — Amite County NAACP officials called for more education and less gun violence as they celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Day in Liberty.
Branch president Janice Jackson-Lyons said Amite County schools consistently rank near the bottom statewide, but its students are capable of more than what test scores indicate.
