Old city jail, sought for purchase by art school, worth $101K

McComb’s old jail is worth $101,000, according to a recent appraisal of the building, whose tenant has made an offer for purchase.
City Administrator David Myers told selectmen of the appraisal of the facility, which includes two buildings, at the city board’s meeting Tuesday.

Sunday liquor request already granted

City goes pink, joins fight

More than 300 people attended the Breast Cancer Awareness event Saturday in downtown McComb, with a parade starting at city hall and ending at the Bo Diddley Pavilion.
Officials spoke on the issue and information booths were on hand at the event, which Selectwoman Terri Waterman-Baylor organized.
