McComb comptroller resigns

Kim Vaughn is the fourth comptroller to resign from the City of McComb in a two-year span, city officials confirmed Tuesday.
Vaughn took the position a few months ago and resigned to take another job, Mayor Quordiniah Lockley said.
Lockley said the city is advertising for a new comptroller.

McComb officials are looking to cut down on health insurance expenses and searching for a new provider.
“This year was the first time we had an increase because of the claims,” said Mayor Quordiniah Lockley. “It was the first time in two or three years we had a rate increase of insurance.”
