Fire department seeks federal grant for new turnout gear

McComb firefighters hope to get new turnout gear after the city board agreed Tuesday to apply for a U.S. Fire Administration grant.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency will fund the grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, with McComb expected to pay a 5% match, if approved.

Measures to pay for MLK gym work die for lack of second

McComb selectmen will meet Friday to try to pay the bills for work on the Martin Luther King Center gym after two measures died for a lack of a second at Tuesday’s board meeting.
The first item was to pay contractor MitchCo Construction of Hattiesburg $260,474. The other was to pay M3A Architecure of Jackson $1,650.

City redistricting measures don't make it to vote
