Former McComb Mayor Wayne Dowdy is returning to City Hall.
McComb selectmen on Tuesday night hired Dowdy as city attorney at $49,000 a year, filling a city post that has been vacant since Rachel Michel resigned as city attorney in March.
The vote to hire Dowdy was 5-0, with Selectman Robert Earl Smith abstaining.
