High winds and heavy thunderstorms on Monday damaged homes, barns and businesses and knocked out power and telephone service in southern Lincoln and Lawrence counties.
The storms hit about 6 p.m., causing widespread outages and downing trees in Pike, Lincoln, Lawrence, Amite and Walthall counties, officials said.
