A Monticello woman and her 7-year-old son were killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision on Highway 27 in Lawrence County.
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Rusty Boyd said Amanda M. Harvey, 28, and Cole Harvey, 7, were pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner Sidney Fortenberry.
