A second Magnolia official has announced his intention to run for mayor.
Alderman and Mayor Pro Tem Melvin Harris said Tuesday that he will be a candidate in a special election to fill the unexpired term of Jim Storer, who resigned as mayor on May 6. Storer’s resignation became official Tuesday.
The term ends in 2009.
