2 Lawrence inmates overpower jailer, escape

Lawrence County authorities are looking for two inmates who overpowered a jailer and escaped from the Lawrence County Jail on Sunday.

Sheriff Joel Thames said Aaron Smith, 24, and David Sanchez, 20, escaped on foot about 9:45 p.m. after assaulting the jailer.
