Reward fund growing

Pike County’s Crime Stoppers has about $2,500 in reward money available for anybody with information leading to solving Leroy McCray’s killing.

The organization is seeking information and raising reward money for the homicide investigation of McCray, whose body was found Jan. 27 on a rural Pike County road near the state line.

The South Pike School District is installing a pre-kindergarten program this fall. However, it may come at a price for parents in the form of a monthly fee.

School board trustees expressed concern regarding a proposed $275 monthly tuition fee proposed in the pre-K handbook, which was up for approval during Thursday’s board meeting.
