McComb dentist Dr. Stephanie Ricks, below center, celebrated Freedom Day Thursday by providing $7,500 worth of free same-day dental work and hygiene to more than two dozen veterans and first responders. Ricks, whose office is located at 301 Rawls Drive, McComb, has participated in the event for the past several years.

PCLT’s ‘Noises Off’ opens tonight

The Pike County Little Theatre will present its production of ‘Noises Off’ at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Depot Theater on State Street in McComb. The British comedy by Michael Frayn follows a group of actors who struggle to put on a play while dealing with their own dramas on and off stage.

Summit imposes youth curfew

Summit officials agreed Tuesday to impose a late-night curfew for juveniles after hearing concerns from the police chief a week earlier. He said youths were roaming around late at night and causing trouble while neglectful parents were hanging out late drinking with children present.

Court: No oral arguments needed in Lenoir case

Mississippi Supreme Court Justices said they won’t need to hear oral arguments to make a ruling in the case of a McComb attorney charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found inside his house. That means a ruling about how the case could proceed may be imminent.
