N. Pike trustees handle 16 Section matters

North Pike trustees approved a 16th Section lease during their April 5 meeting and approved negotiations on a second.

Tony Nettles submitted the higher of two bids for a 452.4-acre tract for hunting and fishing. Nettles bid $12.26 per acre, beating out a $12.01 bid.

Walthall school officials discuss gym renovation plans

TYLERTOWN — Walthall County School Board members heard preliminary plans and cost estimates for renovations at the Tylertown High School gymnasium Tuesday.

Athletic Director Jason Johnson said a THS graduate who is now a contractor donated his time to walk through the facility and make recommendations.
