Walthall board hears littering complaint

TYLERTOWN – Walthall County supervisors addressed concerns over litter in Wednesday’s meeting.

Casey Johnson, a resident of Pigott-Easterling Road, said there is an area on the road which is heavily used as a dumping area, sometimes for things which might contain toxic chemicals.

School board hears testing updates from principals

TYLERTOWN — More Walthall County principals gave the school board updates on their students’ academic performance Tuesday.

After the Tylertown high school and elementary school principals gave reports in March, the bosses at Tylertown Primary School and Dexter and Salem attendance centers took their turns.

And district officials need to know soon whether the school board wants to add a class or not.
