Walthall seamstress sees dress go to red carpet

Nobody can say Mary Alice Smith Thomas isn’t an achiever. The Tylertown native is a seasoned seamstress, and she’s proud of her talents.

“I’ve been sewing since I was in the ninth grade, making money from it,” Thomas said. “I made my first outfit and wore it in the fifth grade.”
