New shop, opportunities for Malibu Hair Spa

Mallory Fenn Robinson’s vision for a salon is the same as when she opened Malibu Hair Spa in Summit in 2008. She just has a lot more to juggle these days with three big changes in her life.

Those would be her two children — 2-year-old Parker and 9-month-old Leah — and a new location, just across the street at 810 Robb St. in Summit.

Pike native comes home to rock

Sid Thompson, a former McComb businessman geologist and part-time rock ‘n’ roller, will bring his band DoubleShotz to Buddy’s on Delaware Avenue in McComb on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Thompson, lead singer-guitarist and harmonica player , leads DoubleShotz, one of the most popular covers band in the Jackson areas.
