McComb girls track not complacent after 3-peat

It’s not easy to be on top, but the McComb girls track team made it look easy, blowing out the competition on the way to a third straight state championship earlier this month.

McComb ended the meet with 113 points, 52 more than second place Pontotoc.

Talbert gets 4 RBIs in title -clinching game

North Pike sophomore Janiah Talbert came through in the clutch for her softball squad.

With back-to-back state championships on the line for North Pike, the third baseman earned four RBIs in her team’s 5-0 win over Kosciusko in Game 2 of the three-game series to seal the win.
