Bulldogs win 7-3A championship

MEADVILLE — The Franklin County Bulldogs wrapped up their first division championship since 2006 in Blue & Gold Friday night with a 40-7 win over Wesson.

The Bulldogs got 147 yards rushing on 11 carries and the touchdowns from sophomore speedster DeMartre Collins. The athletic QB scored on runs of 60, 50, and 5 yards.

MEADVILLE — DeMartre Collins wanted to make a statement this season. Friday night he had perhaps his statement game of the year.

Franklin County High School’s sophomore quarterback scored three touchdowns en route to a stunning 28-20 home win against North Pike for the Bulldogs’ (1-1) first win of the year.
