Some public educators are slamming a bill to raise teacher pay, calling the election-year proposal “insulting” to teachers based on how little it is.
The House Education Committee on Jan. 31 passed House Bill 1349, which proposes a $1,000 annual increase in salaries over the next two years for a total of $2,000 for certified teachers.
