McComb schools hosting art show

Local residents can cultivate an appreciation for literature, social justice, oral lore and more at McComb School District’s Arts Festival.

The annual event begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday with a reader’s theatre, creative writing workshops and open mic at the MSD space in Edgewood Mall.

Pike County is looking for its next Miss Hospitality

It’s nearing time to crown the 2019 Pike County Miss Hospitality.

Sponsored by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, the 2019 Miss Hospitality Pageant will be held April 20 at Southwest Mississippi Community College in the Horace C. Holmes Student Union.

Applications must be turned in to the Chamber of Commerce by March 8.
