Amite roads bring worry

The county’s road system is already used to big trucks. But now, with the busy Tuscaloosa Marine Shale oil play, development has begun to enter a fever pitch.

And with the development comes more traffic.

Man fatally stabbed

An altercation between two brothers left one dead Wednesday afternoon, and lawmen are questioning the other.

Randy McDaniel, 40, of 2156 Barnett Road, was pronounced dead after an argument with his brother David McDaniel, 53, of 2146 Barnett Road, escalated into a physical confrontation.
