Alford, Jordan competing for Ward 5 race

McComb’s fifth ward will begin a new chapter on Dec. 6, as residents will vote on a new selectman to replace Robert Earl Smith, who withdrew his re-election bid in September.

Republican Libba Alford and Democrat Andranette Jordan will face off for the vacant spot. Neither has held a political position in City Hall.
