Tigers face Kirk in title game

On Saturday the Centreville Tigers will head north on I-55 traveling to Pelahatchie to play in head coach Bill Hurst’s 11th state championship game.

The Tigers (12-2) will face off against Kirk Academy in Centreville’s bid for back-to-back MPSA AA State Championships.

Centreville eyes return trip to state

Centreville head coach Bill Hurst has won seven state titles as the Tigers head coach.

Offensive coordinator Brian Stutzman has been a part of four of those titles as a player and now as a coach.

To say there is some experience on this team and staff at this level would be an understatement.

Pioneers travel to high-octane Lamar

The Parklane Pioneers (7-2) will not make the MPSA AAA playoffs this season following recent losses to Jackson Prep and Madison Ridgeland Academy.

So Friday night’s season finale at Lamar (7-2) is being approached by Pioneer head coach Bo Milton as the Pioneers “lone playoff” game.

Parklane seniors on way out

Seven Parklane Pioneer seniors will play their last game at Cowart Smith Stadium. For what has been a good season already for Parklane (6-2), these seven want to finish strong Friday night at home against the Silliman Institute Wildcats (3-5).
