Parklane won its baseball home opener 14-4 over Copiah Academy on Tuesday.
It took a three-run homer off the bat of Josh Armstreet to end the game early, but the Pioneers had chances to accomplish that twice in the fifth and weren’t able to pull it off.
Eric Boyd pitched four no-hit innings and struck out five for the win.
