Flying the friendly skies of Ethiopian Air

I have not long offloaded from an international flight and into Washington, D.C.’s, Dulles Airport for a connecting flight and on to home.
I am returning from my fourth tour abroad in support of our military, this time in Djibouti, North Africa, and was transported by an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing B777-200 jet.

This time of year it’s purple martins by day, bats by night

March signaled the mid-flight of our much loved and expected return of feathered friends, the purple martins.
Starting as early as mid-January and lasting on into early June, these little darlings are winging it back for home from as far away as Brazil, way down yonder in South America.
