Tylertown bests Wesson 36-20 at home Friday

Tylertown played against Wesson Friday night, and came out with a 36-20 win.

After winning the game, Tylertown’s current overall record is 6-4, and their district record is 3-1. The team worked together for a series of scoring plays that put them ahead of the Cobras.

Bogue Chitto stepped onto the field Friday night to face West Lincoln. Despite their efforts, the team came up short. At halftime, Bogue Chitto was down 22-8, and they lost with a final score of 42-8. Lafredrick Dillon scored for the Bobcats, and after the game, their record is 4-5, 0-3 in district.

Tigers stay winless after falling to Warriors 28-21

The McComb Tigers went to Amite, La., to take on the Warriors on Friday night, with the Warriors — a season removed from a state championship bid — keeping the Tigers’ season winless by edging out a 28-21 victory.

Both teams moved the ball well throughout the close contest.

Amite led by a touchdown at halftime, 13-7.
