N.Pike bests Tylertown to remain undefeated Friday

The North Pike Jaguars took down the Tylertown Chiefs 18-12 on Friday at John I. Hurst Stadium at Southwest Mississippi Community College to remain undefeated.

N. Pike (4-0) entered the game with a 3-0 record, while the Chiefs entered at 1-2.

Business owners seek solutions for graffiti problem

Val Deer and his daughter Ashley Nichols, owners of Big Daddy’s Blues Club and Cultural Exchange, have had a problem with people vandalizing their property, and want to figure out a way to stop it.

“This isn’t the first time. This is about the fourth or fifth time,” Deer said. “It’s an ongoing issue.”

A lasting friendship

Sometimes, people become friends and grow apart as they get older. Other times, people forge friendships in high school or college. Michael Anderson and Daryl Porter, however, are a different case. The two have been in school together from kindergarten all the way through law school, and have maintained a close friendship throughout.
